After a relaxing bath in my mirrored bathroom at the Fairmont Hotel Shanghai I prepared myself for a night out. If you haven’t seen the pictures of my bathroom here is a sneak peak. My first visit to China has been years ago. And back then I traveled to Beijing. Beijing is authentic is it’s way and more traditional if I’m comparing it to Shanghai.
While walking through the streets of Shanghai I felt like I was in a Jackie Chan movie. With that in the back of my mind, I didn’t know what to expect from Shanghai.
In general Shanghai is the core in the financial world and it’s popular for its magnificent skyline. But one thing that was shocking to me was the fact that this city is so international. I was meeting people from all over the world and it didn’t even feel like I was in China. If I didn’t know any better I would thing that I was in New York! Commotion and traffic jams all over the city and hundreds of people walking down the street.
Let’s say that I am a little stubborn in my way. And like I always mention.. the most important thing is to look fashionable while doing anything in life.
I think I should make that my statement haha. But in this case there was no difference. Shanghai was very breezy, yet still I was convinced that it was the perfect day to wear my Karen Millen skater dress. When I say “There was a breeze”, it’s an understatement! It was not the kind of breeze that you would experience during the winter. Because it was not cold at all. But breezy in the sense of windy that awarded my flared style dress and made it more feminine.
If I’m able to make it through a breezy day like this. You can do it to.
